Lisa and Dearbhla, Dublin, Age 35
Lisa is a 35 year old mother with a 3 year old daughter and Dearbhla who, at the time of our first visit, was 10 weeks old and breastfeeding well.
She also breastfed her other daughter for 4 months. She hopes to continue feeding as long as she can. Dearbhla was 7lbs 12ozs when born and has gained weight well over the last 10 weeks and feeds regularly throughout the day and night. Lisa has a very plentiful supply of milk and would like to express to have an extra supply in the event that she needs to go out and leave Dearbhla with her dad.
Lisa discusses here how Derbhlas growth spurt has slowed down as she settles into more of a routine both day and night. She also discusses the feeding position that Derbhla seems to prefer
